Hard landscaping is what gives a garden its shape and holds it there. Retaining walls, steps between levels, raised beds and paths all carry load, and all fail expensively when they are built on inadequate foundations.
We build to the ground conditions we actually find on site, with proper footings, drainage behind retaining structures, and materials chosen to suit the house rather than whatever is cheapest that week.
Sloping and split-level gardens are common across the area, and terracing is often the difference between a garden that is looked at and one that is used.

Common questions
- Can you build a retaining wall on a steep slope?
- In most cases yes, but height and ground conditions decide the construction method. Above certain heights a wall needs engineered design, and we will say so rather than guess.
- Will the brickwork match my house?
- We will source the closest match we can and show you samples before ordering. An exact match on older brickwork is not always possible, and we would rather tell you that up front.
